Fabrizio Lenci's illustration

When we commissioned this illustration from our friend and incredible artist Fabrizio Lenci, we gave him total freedom. The only brief was simple: we needed his talent on a postcard we could send out with our jeans. And of course, his take went far beyond that. He captured the spirit of Cabra through a story of contrasts. Our slow, intentional way of making clothes set against the relentless pace of the wider industry, symbolised by Barcelona’s Three Chimneys. The towers look imposing at first, but Fabrizio deliberately reduces their scale, giving more presence to the machines and to the goats “crushing” the industry, a playful nod to the craft and stubbornness that define how we choose to work.

The artwork also ties together the two places that shape Cabra. Tropical details from our Brazilian roots, while Mediterranean references and earthy Catalan tones anchor us in Barcelona. The balance between vibrant, saturated colours and calmer, muted shades mirrors the bridge between these two worlds, and the sea that connects them.

The illustration is full of symbolism, but it’s also deeply personal. It celebrates where we come from, what we stand for, and the future we’re building through a different relationship with clothing and consumption. Having Fabrizio create Cabra’s first-ever illustration is a real joy.

With a background in architecture, Fabrizio builds vibrant, layered compositions that reward slow looking. He’s now a Senior Art Director at BUCK, with a portfolio that includes Apple, Google, The Guardian, Netflix, Ferrari, and many others, along with recognition from major design institutions.

We’re proud to share this collaboration. This illustration will accompany our pieces and become part of your experience with Cabra. And if you’re curious, you can dive into Fabrizio’s creative process in the video below.
