Cabra × Florentine - The Maker’s Vest

We’re very happy to finally share this collaboration with you.

We fell for Florentine Kitchen knives the moment we discovered them. Not only because the knives are seriously good (and we love cooking with proper tools), but because of the way Tomer and Noam run their business: honest, focused, and deeply rooted in craft. It’s an approach that inspires us.

Luckily, they’re based in Barcelona, which gave us the chance to meet and get closer. After a couple of years talking about making something together, the worker vest finally became reality.

The vest: Together, we designed something functional and considered: a protective layer for people who actually use their hands in the workshop, the kitchen, and anywhere work naturally spills into life. The Maker’s Vest is built to handle movement, dust, heat, and real wear, while staying clean and simple in form. The difference is in the materials and the finish. It’s cut and sewn in-house in our Barcelona workshop, on vintage industrial machines, following the same slow, intentional process we use for every Cabra garment.

Material: Made from lightweight, dry-waxed canvas by Halley Stevensons and finished with customised Japanese copper buttons, the vest is soft yet durable, water and dust resistant, and designed to age beautifully over time. The Scottish herringbone weave adds texture and heritage, while the contrast lining echoes the bold colour accents found in Florentine’s distinctive knife handles.

We’re grateful to Florentine for trusting us with this first step into their workwear world. Building something like this together means a lot to us.

The Maker’s Vest is available exclusively through Florentine’s website.
