Govou + Cabra Limited edition (2023)

Working with Govou’s century-old selvedge linens was a challenge in the best way: thick, stubborn fabrics that broke more than a few needles, but rewarded us with pieces that feel timeless and alive.

The colours, the embroidery, the serigraphs,  all still intact after decades, carry a history you can see and feel. Each stripe once marked the purpose or ownership of the original sacks, and now they’ve been transformed into one-of-a-kind garments here in the workshop. Govou hand-selects these rare textiles from Eastern European markets, and it was a privilege to give them a new future. A beautiful first upcycling collaboration.
