Penman Jacket (2021)

Back in 2021, before we crossed the ocean and rebuilt Cabra’s life in Barcelona, we experienced a milestone that shaped how we work today: our first collaboration. It happened with Braveman, a leather goods brand known at the time for its rugged style and meticulous hand-craft.

Together, we created the Penman Jacket, a workwear-inspired piece with leather details and a pocket designed specifically to fit Braveman’s Penman notebook. It was a product born from shared values: durability, function, and honest manual work.

Customers embraced it immediately. Demand was so strong that we produced multiple small batches, each one featuring hand-hammered brass rivets, a numbered label, and graphic details by Felippe Cavalcanti. The Penman Jacket wasn’t just a success; it was the moment we realised collaboration could expand our craft and connect us with a wider community. It set the tone for everything that came after.
